Mike Valentine 24f84214c8 Added config parameter network.http.ssl_verify_host to support certificates. 
Added config parameter network.http.ssl_verify_host to support certificates
with a mismatched or empty CN. Default is 2 (verify name match). Use 1 to simply
verify the presence of a name or 0 to allow for missing names.

rakshasa 29ba4ff4bc * Enforce an http transfer timeout when libcurl fails to honor 
it. Also set a 5-minute timeout for (previously unlimited) torrent
transfers and fixes the argument type for curl_easy_setopt values.

* Allows bandwidth throttles to work without floating point support.

* Adds a d.add_peer=host[:port] command to manually add a peer (not
for torrents marked "private"), port is 6881 by default.

* Allows banning the selected peer with "B". No unbanning is possible
yet.

All the above patches were written by Josef Drexler.

* Differentiate between commands that have no target, and those that
take generic targets, when using XMLRPC.

rakshasa ba7d61b532 * Fixed a buffer overflow when writting to the output buffer. This 
would in some rare occasions cause memory to be corrupted. leading to
a crash.

* Added option for setting the http proxy and proccess's umask.

* Save the total uploaded for downloads between sessions.

* Moved from sigc++ to my own lightweight slot class for the task
scheduler. This saves some 5-600kb when compiled with debugging
symbols, 1-200kb without.

rakshasa 3db8179274 * Moved http get's user agent stuff to the client. It now uses 
"rtorrent/CLIENT_VERSION/LIBRARY_VERSION".

* Using libcurl's timeout, set to 60 seconds, rather than in
TrackerHttp. This should make libcurl try different IP's.

* Minor cleanup of how file priorities are updated.

rakshasa 3df7567ddf * Rewrote 'select' based polling in the client and finished the 
'epoll' code. The client selects whichever is available on the current
platform.

rakshasa 0588e66eaf Added license exception for linking toward OpenSSL. 
Disabled Mozilla's NSS SHA1 code and added OpenSSL SHA1, use NSS if
you need Debian-strict GPL compliance. Added note in README.
